Mont Blanc Pens: The collections
For nearly one hundred years, Mont Blanc pens have stood for the art of writing. With their distinctive white star on the cap symbolising the snow-covered peak of Mont Blanc and bestowing the high quality status of the brand, Double Cream presents the three classic Mont Blanc pen collections: Meisterstuck, Boheme and StarWalker.
Mont Blanc's Meisterstuck pens have their origins in the centuries-old tradition of European craftsmanship. In Europe, the Meisterstuck, or masterpiece, is the final and most difficult challenge a young craftsman faces, the task which decides his future, and brings to an end the long hard years as an apprentice. The future master pours all his skills and ambitions into this piece of work, which must meet the highest standards to earn the name "masterpiece." It is only once this level of artistry has been achieved, that he earns the honourable title of "Master Craftsman."
The Mont Blanc Meisterstuck 149 fountain pen is one of the best-known and most famous writing instruments of our time. First produced in 1924 and hand-crafted in the best European tradition, its 18 K hand-ground gold nib with platinum inlay, three gold-plated rings, gold-plated clip and deep black precious resin barrel make this luxurious writing instrument the flagship Mont Blanc pen, and recognised worldwide as a legend among fountain pens.
The Boheme was the first new Mont Blanc pen collection released since 1924. This new collection celebrates the traditional art of writing with functional beauty and European craftsmanship. The Boheme is designed with a flat top and modern day design elements including a variety of synthetic coloured gemstones on the clip. The Boheme is clearly a Mont Blanc pen with the trademark white star on the cap and the Mont Blanc hallmark of triple gold bands.
The StarWalker collection combines Mont Blanc's world-famous incomparable design with master craftsmanship. The result is a collection of Mont Blanc pens that excel in Mont Blanc's innovative design, enhancing surface feel and perfect weight. Its wonderfully shaped nib guarantees the perfect writing mood for a new generation, and the Mont Blanc star floats strikingly in the transparent dome. The ‘Resin Line’ features black precious resin with platinum-plated fittings, and the ‘Metal/Rubber Line’ features a surface with diamond-cut lines.
